After collection, the circuit board is sorted based on the type of material and processed to extract valuable metals and other components. The remaining materials are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Specialized machines strip high-value chips, capacitors, and connectors off the board. Detached elements are grouped by type or size to prepare for targeted chemical recovery.
